Electrical Safety Awareness

Bldg: Summit Park Community Room, Reed Harman Hwy and Glendale Milford Rd, Next to Brown Dog Cafe, Blue Ash, Ohio, United States

Electrical accidents can cause burns, shocks and electrocution, and without the proper electrical safety program these accidents can be fatal. Over 350 electrical-related fatalities occur each year. For employers, engineers, and safety managers, creating a workplace where team members know how to approach electrical hazards is a top priority. NFPA 70E offers standards and guidelines to build out an effective electrical safety program and provides procedures for energized work to be performed, based on electrical safety rules established by OSHA.Speaker(s): Dave Hernandez, Bldg: Summit Park Community Room, Reed Harman Hwy and Glendale Milford Rd, Next to Brown Dog Cafe, Blue Ash, Ohio, United States

AI-BASED NEUROPROSTHETICS: Mind-Controlled Prosthetic Arm with Hybrid Brain Computer Interface

Madtree Brewery, 3301 Madison Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, 45209

The rapid advancements in the fields of neurotechnology and robotics have paved the way for the development of brain-controlled systems. This emerging technology utilizes the power of the human mind to directly interface with electromechanical devices, which enables remarkable levels of control and interaction. We developed a Hybrid Electroencephalography (EEG)-Based Brain Computer Interface and a Mind- Controlled Prosthetic Arm. This project aims to create an accessible, customizable, and non-invasive bionic arm for individuals with limb amputations, empowering them to perform a variety of delicate everyday tasks and enhancing their overall interactive experience.
