ABOUT THE MEETING:     Cloud Computing is an evolving space. Many often wonder what about the fascination that companies have with cloud computing. This talk will give an overview of the most commonly used services, compare the offerings of the various cloud computing vendors and provide a brief introduction into some architectural design considerations when building an application within the cloud.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:    Mike Butsch has over 30 years of IT Operations Experience and has spent the last 18 years of his career at Verizon. While at Verizon, Mike has been the technical lead of multiple teams within DataCenter Operations and has spent the last 7 years of his career working in the Cloud Computing Space. His  team is responsible for governance and oversight of all cloud offerings and he is the lead AWS Cloud Solutions Architect on that team.

BUFFET MENU SELECTIONS:   Dinner catered by Brown Dog Café: Big fat Greek Salad (crisp romaine, Kalamata olives, mild banana peppers, red onion, artichoke heart, toy box tomatoes grape tomato, feta cheese, and herbed Vinaigrette) Mediterranean Chicken (Ohio Amish chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese, prosciutto, onion, pine nuts, rosemary lemon tomato sauce), Italian Pepper Steak (grilled marinated sirloin, peppers, onions, mushrooms, garlic, herb, olive oil), Ratatouille (eggplant squash, bell peppers, Northern Italian tomato sauce, provolone cheese), Parmesan Risotto (arborio rice, cream, parmesan cheese), Bread & drink.

WALK-INS (those without reservations): Due to catering and seating arrangements, reservations are required for this meeting

PE CREDITS:  Depending on the subject matter, attendance at IEEE Cincinnati Section Meetings now qualifies the attendee for Professional Development Hours towards renewal of Professional Engineers Licenses.  Required documentation will be available following the meeting if qualified!  The Section Meetings also provide a great opportunity to network with fellow engineers in the area.
