We had a good set of meetings with Carl Selinger.  I was surprised by the low attendance.  Many of you who requested that the Section provide more opportunities to obtain professional development hours failed to attend.

Please mark your calendars for December 4th.  The Section is having a Wine Tasting Party as its final meeting of 2008.  Tickets are $25.00.  Bring your spouse or significant other.  Come.  Enjoy some really fine wines and great appetizers.  Enjoy the fellowship.  Make some new friends.  Learn something about wine.

IEEE – inspire, engage, encourage, empower

See you in December!

From Brian’s Desk

Last month, we had a terrific turnout to see Viktorija Cecil present cool and affordable gadgets from TI.  If you missed it, you missed out on a great talk and lots of giveaways.

This month, we are meeting one week earlier than normal.  We meet on Thursday October 16.  This is going to be a very intersting meeting.  Bring a young person, someone just starting in their career.  Buy them dinner (heck it’s only $10), and help them get a great start with the soft skills presented by Carl Selinger author of “Stuff You Don’t Learn in Engineering School.”

Act fast, you need to email your reservation by Tuesday noon.

See you Thursday at Raffel’s.
